Tommy Garnett, President/CEO, brings over 30 years of experience owning/operating a manufacturer’s representative agency, focusing primarily on highly engineered custom mechanical components. His goal of providing a value-added technical and consultative resource, enabling clients to achieve higher efficiencies and profitability, lines up perfectly with the goals of GCS.

Mr. Garnett is originally from Lynchburg, VA but moved to NC for college, and currently resides in Wake Forest, NC with his wife and two children. Prior to becoming a manufacturer’s representative, he served as a golf professional and was a member of the PGA of America.

Artie Smith brings over 30 years of experience as a highly accomplished Sales and Marketing professional. He has previously represented Caterpillar, Bobcat, and John Deere. Artie has a wide range of experience servicing and representing the OEM community across several different and unique manufacturing platforms. An extensive background in customer service coupled with a keen business acumen are the pillars of his success as a sales professional.

Artie is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, a North Carolina State University graduate, and has lived in Raleigh, North Carolina since 2014.  Prior to that he spent the previous 15 years in Dallas, Texas.

Mark Snyder has earned both, the Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative and the Certified Sales Professional, designations since joining the GCS team.  He has over 30 years’ experience selling custom applications to Fortune 500 companies in the Southeast. Prior to joining Garnett Component Sales Inc, he spent 19 years with SCA-Tuscarora, a large custom foam molder of components and packaging, as the Regional Director of the South.

Originally from Ohio, he moved to Atlanta in 1991 and now lives in Johns Creek, GA, with his wife and two sons.

A large portion of his experience is working with principals and customers to create solutions for challenging applications.

Brian is a resident of Savannah, GA and has lived there since 2001. Prior to that he was in Atlanta for a short period after graduating from the University of Georgia.

Ricardo Malacara has an International Trade undergraduate degree from ITESM with an MBA from Central Michigan University. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has worked for over 20 years in the electronic and mechanical manufacturing areas in Mexico. 

Over these years, his areas of influence have been in operations, sales, marketing and materials management. This combination helps better understand customers’ needs. 

Ricardo has worked for Fortune 500 US companies based in Mexico as well as Mexican startup companies so he understands what it takes to find, grow and keep a customer and how to work with interdisciplinary, international teams.

As part of his passion for sales, Ricardo is an avid follower of sales materials (books, podcasts, seminars, etc.), has a few written publications in specialized magazines and works as a coach for starting sales teams in Mexico

Angela Garnett, Sales and Operations Manager, brings 10 years of business-to-business sales experience in the staffing industry to O.E.M. manufacturers. More recently, she served as Regional Sales Manager for a $2B company serving NC, TN, VA, and MD. She also has 10 years of retail management experience.

Although originally from Richmond, VA area, she now resides in Wake Forest, NC with her husband Tommy and their two children.

Tom Diamond, brings over 30 years of experience in the marketing and graphic design industry. His education includes a degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design from Johnston Technical College. Tom has experience working with all types of businesses from startups to Fortune 500 companies, and offers distinctive and creative ideas that allow GCS to continually grow and strengthen their professional brand.

Served 3 years in United States Marine Corps 0311/Disabled Veteran and currently resides in Wake Forest, NC. He also has a daughter serving active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
